Leaving on a Jet Plan

My dad left today. He is going to be working in a country called Qatar. He has a three month try period, to see if things are going to work out. If they do, he will be gone for 3 years. We are totally going to miss him! It's been really weird to think of my dad going out the country. UGH! No one to go to when my car/house/anything breaks! It was such a comfort to know that Dad was just a few miles away, and could come and rescue me when I had a problem... Anyway, Qatar is a peninsula situated halfway along the West Coast of the Arabian Gulf. It's where the US launched the invasion of Iraq. So, it pretty US friendly. Last night we enjoyed pork ribs for dinner. We figured that Dad wasn't going to get pork anything for a long time. After dinner, Allen, Benson, and Soren gave Dad a blessing. Then they gave Mom one. Riley jumped into the chair next. Finally, each of us kids got a father's blessing. Riley was so cute. He folded his arms for one, and was so reverent. After his blessing he wanted to put his hands on everyone and give them a blessing too. Riley is going to miss his Papa very much. Luckily, we can use our computers to call him on Skyp :) These are some cute pictures we took after Riley's party.
