Summer Time
This has been a fun summer for our family. We started the summer with my graduation from UNLV!!! At last I can say that I'm educated! We also found out that our newest baby is going to be a little girl. How fun, now we have one of each model in our family.
Riley and I spent ten days in Colorado visiting my grandparents. Riley loved it! He rode horses almost every day with his Grandma Peterson, helped to muck out stales and feed said horse. The best part about being there was being able to spend so much time outside. Riley ran up and down all the paths, picked flowers, sticks and rocks, road tractors and made a general mess of himself. He loved every minute of it.
We flew into Vegas on Thursday, and Friday left to spend the weekend at Panguitch Lake with Allen's family. We stayed in some really cute cabins. It was allot of fun. Riley thought that is was really cool that his big cousin Ryan played with him. Ryan will be twelve soon, and Riley wanted to do everything that his cousin was. We enjoyed going on a slow boat ride with Allen's brother Brigham and his wife Charlotte.
Lastly, we are moving! Not too far, but it will be wonderful to have our own place again! It's a small three bedroom home, about 3 miles from my parent's place. We found a house in our price range with a back and front yard!!! You wouldn't believe how difficult that was!
Well, I'm going to try and keep this blog thing up... but once the new baby is here, who knows. She is due October 25.... and we still haven't come up with a name that sticks yet. But we will, before we leave the hospital. LOL

Jess, it's so fun to hear what's happening with your family. Riley sounds like such a great little guy. I can imagine the pleasure of running around in CO instead of wasting in the heat here! We had a hard time coming up with a name for our little girl this time, so by the time the birth certificate information was in our hands, we were in a ridiculous state of indecision. We finally wrote down the name just before leaving the hospital. Now I love Brooklyn and can't imagine her with any other name. We wish you the best and I guess our advice would be to go with your instincts. Hope you continue to have a great summer! Lots of love from the Houstons!
Oh, congrats on your new home! What a blessing! Please forward us your new address when you get there so we can keep in touch!
